Our ten-year strategy, MSE 2025, is our School’s commitment to bring to life the University-wide strategy Growing Esteem and reinforces the University of Melbourne’s position as one of the best in the world. Investment in new infrastructure, strengthening industry engagement and growing the size and diversity of our staff and student base to drive innovation and develop the transformative technologies of the future are all fundamental principles underpinning MSE 2025.
Putting knowledge into action, MSE is set to open two major new sites within the next five years. The Fishermans Bend campus will facilitate collaboration with leading local and international organisations across the transport, energy, manufacturing, water, food, mining, defence and infrastructure sectors.
The second precinct sits adjacent to the University’s main Parkville campus at the site of the old Royal Women’s Hospital. Across both sites, we will see unprecedented opportunity for collaboration and knowledge pooling amongst some of the world’s brightest engineering minds.
