Melbourne Engineering and Information Technology Foundation has been supporting Engineering and IT staff and students since 1982
A brief history of the Melbourne Engineering and Information Technology Foundation
The 1980s proved to be a huge growth period for the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) : 1982 marked 100 years since William Kernot was appointed the first Professor of Engineering and 1983 commemorated the centenary of the first Melbourne University engineering degree.
To celebrate these milestones the Engineering Centenary Appeal was launched, with a goal of raising $2.5 million to support the establishment of the Engineering Foundation. Since its inception the Foundation has been committed to building financial support and community engagement for the Faculty.
Melbourne Engineering and Information Technology Foundation Scholarships
True to its founding mission of celebrating excellence, the Foundation Board provides ongoing scholarship support. Funds raised support high achieving students who are attempting professional Masters programs. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and need to both local and international students.
