Project
This project conducted a world-first trial of connected transport technology involving an Internet of Things (IoT) Edge and Fog Computing solution run on a roadside intersection. The solution provided by Cisco and Cohda Wireless demonstrated real-life cases for speed management, collision avoidance and vulnerable road user (VRU) protection.
Outcome
The trial provided a pivotal step towards the prevention of traffic incidents without the need for human intervention.
