Project
Traditionally, transport management has been isolated with trams, buses, trains and roads that are all managed separately. The purpose of this project is to develop a multimodal situation awareness platform for the management of transport as a whole ecosystem. Cubic is developing the platform with data and direction provided by the Department of Transport and real-time data from the 240+ sensors and devices installed in AIMES. Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is also a partner of the project, ensuring priorities around safety are embedded into the platform.

Outcome
Once completed, the platform will allow us to look at transport systems from many modes and understand how the information collectively can be used to efficiently optimise the systems.
