Free Training - Vibrational Spectroscopy

FTIR and Raman microscopy-free training in November 2019

Confocal Raman Microscopy (Renishaw inVIA QONTOR)

  • Currently equipped with a 532nm laser source
  • Soon to be upgraded with 633 and 785nm lasers
  • Capable of point, line and mapping analysis
  • Powered by LiveTrack technology facilitating the analysis of samples with uneven and curved surfaces
  • Contact: Dr Anders Barlow

FTIR Microscopy (Bruker LUMOS)

  • Spatially maps absorption in the infrared spectrum
  • Capable of conventional and ATR FTIR measurements
  • Fully automated measurement in transmission, reflection and ATR mode
  • Large working distance allowing ample space for sampling
  • Suitable for biological tissues
  • Contact: Paul Brannon
