C.W.N. Sexton Scholarship for African or Asian Students from British Commonwealth Countries
C.W.N. Sexton, formerly Associate Professor of Civil Engineering in the University of Melbourne and for 36 years a member of the staff of the University, donated funds for the assistance of African or Asian students from British Commonwealth countries.
The award has been established to support coursework students who are citizens of an African or Asian country from the British Commonwealth studying a Master of Civil Engineering.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:
- be enrolled in the Master of Civil Engineering
- have completed at least 100 credit points of the Master of Civil Engineering
- demonstrate financial need
- be a citizen of an African or Asian country from the British Commonwealth
Value
In 2024, a single award of approximately $2,700 is available.
Selection criteria
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Financial need- which will be assessed via the personal statement and submission of the 2024 FEIT Student Financial Assessment form
- Strength of a personal statement addressing
- your interest and passion in your chosen field
- your current financial needs
- the impact of the scholarship funds
