Cliff Ogleby Award

The Cliff Ogleby Award has been established in the memory of a well loved geomatics professor. Cliff Ogleby taught at The University of Melbourne for over 38 years, during which he made lasting contributions to the education of the next generation and to the preservation of culturally significant sites around the world.

The Cliff Ogleby Award is an annual award to support geomatics students in the Master of Spatial Engineering or Master of Digital Infrastructure Engineering

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to be:

  • enrolled in the Master of Digital Infrastructure Engineering, Master of Spatial Engineering or Master of Engineering (Spatial); and
  • have completed at least 100 points (not including advanced standing), at the time of application

Value

In 2024, one award valued at $5,000 is available.

Selection criteria

Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:

  • Current WAM
  • a short video addressing:
    • interest and study/career ambitions in the spatial discipline
    • any disadvantaged circumstances faced or currently facing and the impact this has had on your studies, and
    • the proposed impact the scholarship will have
