This scholarship has been established by Mr Peter Lloyd of Setec Pty Ltd, an Australian owned and operated business manufacturing innovative power solutions for a wide range of industries. Peter had a lifelong ambition to become an electrical engineer and fulfilled this goal working for a number of organisations, including the CSIRO, before setting up his own business that continues to be a success today.
The scholarship is open to students within the Melbourne School of Engineering who are:
- Australian citizens or permanent residents
- In their penultimate year of the Master of Engineering (Electrical or Electrical with Business).
‘Penultimate year’ is to be interpreted as a student who has completed more than 100 points but less than 200 points of their degree at the time of advertising.
One scholarship is available and is valued at $5,000.
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Financial need
- Academic merit
- Strength of a personal statement
