Eugen Singer Award
The Eugen Singer Award was established by Mrs Josephine Singer in commemoration of her late husband, Eugen Singer, who distinguished himself as a chemical engineer working in the field of precision engineering associated with the production and processing of polymers.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:
- be undertaking a higher degree by research in a field related to the study of polymers, including their production and processing at the University of Melbourne; and
- have submitted an online application consisting of a personal statement describing the research topic, student’s financial situation and how the funds would be used to benefit their research
Value
In 2024, one award valued at approximately $14,000 is available.
Selection criteria
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Academic merit - which will be assessed via the personal statement and supporting documents (CV, most recent progress report, peer-reviewed publications, supervisor’s statement) to evaluate the strength of the applicant’s research; and
- Financial need- which will be assessed via the personal statement and submission of the 2024 FEIT Student Financial Assessment form
