What is the FEIT Hackathon Festival?

The Hackathon Festival provides Faculty of Engineering and IT students with the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative solutions to industry challenges.
The FEIT Hackathon Festival provides Faculty of Engineering and IT students with the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative solutions to industry challenges.
The 2025 competition will be held across 3-days from September 29 to October 1, 2025, and will include a series of activities, including skill development workshops and industry networking opportunities designed to assist teams in developing a response to provided challenges.
All attendees are eligible to win prizes throughout the competition. The top three teams will be awarded monetary funds and were acknowledged at the Festival's closing ceremony.
Participants are also eligible to gain recognition for their capability in Sustainability Advocacy, with a verified digital credential through Melbourne Plus.

For the 2024 competition, the following monetary prizes were awarded to the top three teams:
- 1st place - $6,000
- 2nd place - $3,000
- 3rd place - $2,000
