Achieving net zero Carbon will require a range of technologies, all of which need minerals and metals as key inputs. For example, copper, nickel, lithium and graphite are critical to the production of batteries for energy storage.
The challenge
To extract these minerals and metals in an efficient and safe manner, while not contributing to greenhouse gas emissions. Often these materials are found in low concentrations in nature and hence efficient extraction is critical.
Our response
We have a range of active projects in the areas of lithium extraction, development of high grade anode systems based on natural graphite, and copper and nickel extraction.
