Public transport systems

We develop models and tools that allow for the integrated simulation of public transport (PT) supply and demand.

Our expertise includes the analysis of both traditional fixed route services and demand responsive services, including future scenarios where automated vehicles become available. By developing models that simultaneously analyse supply and demand, our research is also easily applied to the evaluation of multimodal and mobility-as-a-service systems.

Within this pillar of research, we also perform big data analytics and passenger behaviour modelling to provide guidance into overall PT service planning and accessibility.
