Who can apply?
You are eligible if you are:
- A current FEIT PhD candidate
- A current FEIT MPhil candidate
- Interested in innovation, research translation, entrepreneurship, or impact
Participation requirements
To participate, applicants must:
- Notify their principal supervisor
- Complete required Stage 1 workshops (mandatory for student participants)
- Comply with University intellectual property requirements
- Submit relevant IP disclosures at Stage 2
- Willing to form startup or equivalent venture after Stage 3.
Team entries
You may participate:
- As an individual
- As part of a team
- With supervisor involvement where appropriate
- Collaboration with the industry or other faculties.
Important note for finalists
Participants progressing to Stage 3 will be required to begin the process in establishing a company entity or related commercialisation activities.
Comprehensive support will be provided to help finalists navigate company formation, venture creation, including policy translation, governance, and setup.
