International Research Opportunities
Please be advised that the following programs are available to Faculty of Engineering and IT master's coursework students.
Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea
The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) has a well-established Visiting Student Researcher Program. FEIT students may choose to attend a 3-month research program over the Australian Summer holiday period (late November – late February). Attending students will join an existing project at KAIST and undertake several months of research experience, with the intention that this also contribute academic credit towards their degree at the University of Melbourne.
Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Pohang, South Korea
The Pohang University of Science and Technology(POSTECH) has a well-established Research Participation Program. FEIT students may choose to attend a 3-month research program over the Australian Summer holiday period (late November – late February). Attending students will join an existing project at POSTECH and undertake several months of research experience, with the intention that this also contribute academic credit towards their degree at the University of Melbourne.
A*STAR Singapore Research Program
An exciting opportunity for FEIT students! Singapore's agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) drives mission-oriented research that advances scientific discovery and technological innovation. With a number of projects set to take place in the forthcoming year, A*STAR are willing to accept high-achieving FEIT students for 3-6-month research experiences from March 2023.
