The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology is delighted to support our students in embracing overseas opportunities, including short-term coursework programs.
This page shines a spotlight on particular opportunities that are coming up. Students are encouraged to review the central brochure pages for all upcoming exchange opportunities, as there may be programs available relevant to your cohort that have not been promoted for the wider FEIT cohort.
You can find general information on upcoming short-term programs here.
Short-term coursework programs run during the summer (November - February) or winter (July) break periods and fit within the University of Melbourne holiday periods.

Nanyang Technological University - ASEAN Summer @ NTU Program
Singapore and Vietnam
28 June - 25 July 2026 (Singapore 28 June - 11 July, Vietnam 11 July - 25 July)
Visit two countries and explore entrepreneurship over two different markets. At NTU in Singapore you will undertake an Entrepreneurship course that delves into startups, innovation, the circular economy, and business strategies, complemented by expert-led workshops in design thinking, systems thinking, and intercultural competence. Working in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, participants apply their learnings to address a real-world Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) issue and develop a viable, impact-driven business model.
You will take this solution to your second destination of Vietnam, gaining first-hand exposure around entering ASEAN markets and fast-track new ventures. Through industry engagement and local immersion, participants gain practical insights into navigating the host country’s unique business ecosystem. In 2026, this segment will take place in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Sungkyunkwan University International Summer Semester
SKKU, University, Seoul, South Korea
26 June - 24 July 2026
Sungkyunkwan University's International Summer Semester (ISS) is an exceptional academic program designed to immerse participants in the captivating narrative of Seoul, the 600-year-old capital of Korea. The program strives to cultivate global engagement among students by offering opportunities to exchange diverse perspectives on global issues, establish friendships with individuals from various cultural backgrounds, and delve into Korea's rich history, culture, and society.

Harvard Summer School
Harvard University, Massachussets, USA 13 July - 30 July 2026
Harvard Summer School offers more than 400 courses for adult and college students, in more than 60 different subject areas, including engineering, IT and IS disciplines. As there are so many subjects available, we have not pre-assesed these. Please apply and complete an Overseas Study Planner, which will be assessed by your department to confirm whether your proposed subject can contribute credit towards your degree.

Peking University Globex Program
Peking University, Beijing, China 6 July to 24 July 2026
Peking University (PKU) is a comprehensive research university in Beijing, and their well-established Globex Program offers a range of subjects to suit many STEM fields.
FEIT academic Professor Andrew Ooi will be teaching into this program, and able to offer some support if you encounter any issues while attending the program.
Funding: If attending on an exchange place, FEIT scholarship funding is available. Please note that this funding is not available for fee-paying places.

University of Zurich International Summer School
University of Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland 5 July - 24 July 2026
The University of Zurich (UZH) is Switzerland’s largest university and offers the widest range of study programs in the country. During the UZH International Summer School students combine academic studies with exciting and highly interactive in-person sessions and a comprehensive social program.
Funding: If attending on an exchange place, FEIT scholarship funding is available. Please note that this funding is not available for fee-paying places.
