Dr Marc Cheong

Senior Lecturer - Information Systems

Marc is a Senior Lecturer - Information Systems (Digital Ethics); and Associate Director at the Centre for AI and Digital Ethics (CAIDE). His research interests are in the intersection between philosophy and technology.

Among other activities, Marc contributes to philosophy in/about contemporary media, such as an existential analysis of anti-heroes in anime, the ethics of deepfaking celebrities in documentaries and the ethics of celebrity and engagement (at Swiftposium, 2024).

Fun fact: His favourite stream at the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) is, predictably, the documentary stream.
