Yuan Fang is a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Richard D. Sandberg’s group at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, University of Melbourne. With a passion for advancing methodologies and technologies, Fang is dedicated to exploring their industrial applications. She believes that an engineering mindset significantly benefits her research and professional journey. Her work focuses on applying machine learning techniques to fluid dynamics, specifically aiming to enhance the generalizability, interpretability, and accuracy of low-cost numerical models for complex flow phenomena.
