Student ID Cards and Building Access

Where does your student ID card allow you to go? If you are a Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT) student, ensure you have the right access to our spaces.

General building access

Your student card is automatically programmed to give you access to the University’s main libraries, some study spaces and computer labs.  Find more information here.

Engineering and IT access

Access will be loaded in bulk for students who are fully enrolled at the beginning of the semester.

  • If you are fully enrolled by the Friday prior to Orientation Week, it is anticipated that access will be enabled by the end of O week.
  • If you are fully enrolled by the Friday of Week 1, it is anticipated that access will be enabled by the end of Week 2.
  • Any late enrolments will be captured approximately one week post census date.

For any access issues within the above-mentioned time frames, submit an access enquiry to the FEIT Infrastructure Team. If you require access to any special FEIT rooms/labs not mentioned below, or you have queries about how to obtain a student card, do not use the form. Instead read the Questions section below.
