CitiPower and Powercor Women in Engineering Scholarship

CitiPower and Powercor have established the CitiPower and Powercor Scholarship for Women in Electrical Engineering to support female students who are experiencing disadvantage and in their first year of the Master of Electrical Engineering.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

  • identify as female
  • be in your first year of Master of Electrical Engineering (have commenced in Semester 1, 2025 or Semester 2, 2024)
  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia

Value

In 2025, one scholarship valued at $20,000 is available. This will be paid in biannual payments of $5,000 over a period of two years.

Selection criteria

Applications will be assessed on the  strength of your personal statement outlining:

  • your study and career aspirations
  • the impact this scholarship support will have for you

And any disadvantaged circumstances faced or currently facing and the impact this has had on your studies, if applicable

Preference will be given to students experiencing disadvantaged conditions

Conditions

Recipients must maintain satisfactory progress for the duration of the scholarship.

When will I know the outcome?

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application approximately six to eight weeks after the application close date.
