School of Computing and Information Systems
We are international research leaders in computer science, information systems and software engineering. We are focused on delivering impact in three key areas: data and knowledge, platforms and systems, and people and organisations.
School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering
The CBE School integrates the expertise and capabilities of the Chemical and the Biomedical Engineering Departments. Supporting our FEIT students from initial query through to graduation, our Academic Support Office has a network of services and experts to make our FEIT student experience as smooth and rewarding as possible. We play an integral role in coordinating onshore and offshore recruitment, managing prospective student enquiries, coordinating an extensive suite of student enrichment opportunities for our coursework and graduate research students, and provide high-level support to the School’s academic employees. We have a variety of roles in our Academic Programs, Future Students, Graduate Research and Student Enrichment teams.

The Health, Safety and Wellbeing of our whole community is fundamental to the work we do at FEIT. We have a clear commitment to a robust and effective OHS management systems that is best practice and equivalent to the companies with whom we work and partner. The selection process here will differ based upon the role you have applied for. What does a typical Academic interview process look like?
Our preference is always to meet you in person, thus the final stage of our process will usually be a campus visit where we will fly you to Melbourne to visit our beautiful and historic campus.
Please note we do on occasion make changes to our preferred approach (eg: in response to the global pandemic and travel restrictions) and have the capability and flexibility to move as much of the selection process as necessary to the virtual on-line environment.
A typical Academic selection process will include some or all the following:
- Pre-interview via zoom (aprox 30mins to commence your engagement with our academics)
- Seminar / presentation (in person coupled with campus visit; or where necessary via Zoom)
- Formal panel interview (in person coupled with campus visit; or where necessary via Zoom)
