Chief Engineer

ARES' Chief Engineer acts as the principal technical lead on rocketry projects, providing oversight on all engineering aspects of rocket development from design through to flight. They ensure technical excellence across all subsystems, facilitate design reviews, and make critical decisions on engineering approaches and risk management.

Charlie is a final year bachelor of science student majoring in mechanical engineering. He joined ARES in 2024 and has experience in both the recovery and propulsion sub-teams. Charlie is passionate about cutting edge aerospace technologies and is currently undertaking an internship at Toyota Australia. In Charlie's spare time he enjoys working on project cars and travelling.
