Lead Systems Engineer

The Lead Systems Engineer ensures effective cross-subsystem communication and integration, coordinating between the ARES' subsystems to ensure all components work together cohesively. They are responsible for managing system-level requirements, identifying interface issues, conducting failure mode and hazard analysis, authoring technical documentation, and ensuring that collaborative efforts meet the needs of all stakeholders throughout the rocket's development.

Will is a first-year Master's student studying Electronics Engineering. He joined ARES in 2022, having served as Avionics Lead for Project Deimos and Chief Engineer for Project Florence. Will is passionate about space avionics, and works as a research assistant at the Melbourne Space Laboratory where he develops electronic systems for lunar and orbital missions.
