A/Prof Nausheen Mazhar

Dr. Nausheen Mazhar is serving as Chairperson, Associate Professor, Physical Geographer and climate activist at Lahore College for Women University, Lahore, with a specialization in Desertification. With a fellowship from the University of Leeds, UK, she has continued her end-user-focused research with particular interest in climate change, desert ecosystems, dryland ecology, rural livelihoods, and reservoir sedimentation. She is now in policymaking and is a Member of the Panel of Experts of Punjab Climate Change Policy. A recent feather in her cap is her contribution as a contributing author in IPCC’s 6th Assessment Report. During her academic career, she has earned 4 Gold medals, 2 Roll of Honors and the most prestigious Indigenous and IRSIP scholarships of HEC. As a climate activist, she has been a speaker at the Oxford Desert Conference, and Countdown conference of TED x LCWU, and served as an invited

speaker in news channels, seminars, workshops and panel discussions on climate change in Al-Hamra Arts Council, Forman Christian College, FAST School of Management and UET Lahore.
