Melbourne
The Wurundjeri, Boonwurrung, Taungurong, Dja Dja Wurrung and the Wathaurung people of the Kulin Nation are the Traditional Owners of the land now known by its European name of Melbourne.

Your campus
The main Parkville campus environment is leafy, green, vibrant and dynamic where music, exhibitions, sporting facilities, libraries and excellent cafes can be found for all to enjoy. There are multiple green spaces on campus as well as large public spaces located close by, including Royal Park and the Carlton Gardens.
Connectivity
Parkville is well connected by a short walk or tram to Melbourne Central Station and frequent buses to North Melbourne Station.
Parkville Station
Construction to build an underground train line connecting North Melbourne to South Yarra, via the University (Parkville Station) and the Central Business District, commenced in 2018. Parkville Station construction is well underway and is due to open 2025/26.
Melbourne Airport
Melbourne Domestic and International Airport is approximately 20 minutes from Parkville.
Accommodation
In addition to arranging your own private accommodation (housing), there is a range of University student accommodation available to you. Choices include traditional Residential Colleges, and University owned and partnered accommodation, known as University Accommodation.

ABSTUDY’s Residential College Costs Option
The ABSTUDY Residential College Costs Option allows eligible students to live in a residential college and to have the cost paid directly by ABSTUDY.
Murrup Barak College: Fee-Contribution Scholarship
Murrup Barak and residential colleges provide fee scholarships for Indigenous students who are not eligible for government accommodation funding such as ABSTUDY’s Residential College Costs Option, see Murrup Barak Fee Contribution Scholarships for more detail.
College Scholarships
You can apply for scholarships within your Residential College application. Scholarships range from $500–$20,000, with many specifically for Indigenous students.
