About
The One Basin Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) is an industry-led, collaborative partnership established to build a more productive, resilient and sustainable Murray–Darling Basin for current and future generations.
From Queensland to South Australia, it is finding practical solutions to complex challenges, nurturing regional communities, and training the next generation of scientists.
The Mallee Regional Innovation Centre (MRIC) houses the Mildura Hub of the One Basin CRC.
Incorporating three council areas across Victoria and New South Wales, the Mildura Hub is focused on supporting the community and agricultural sector to adapt effectively to the impacts of climate change, primarily reduced water availability and greater climatic variability.

The background, experience and expertise of our people is critical to our success as we nurture the next generation of scientists and leaders in the basin.
Our Mildura Hub team is led by Peter Forbes, who is an experienced manager with a deep connection to the Mallee spanning more than 35 years. Peter played an active role in the establishment of the Mallee Regional Innovation Centre, where the One Basin CRC Mildura Hub is housed.
