Hear from our former Peer Mentors
Ruchi
Master of Computer Science, Peer Mentor 2026
“I chose to become a Peer Connect mentor because I know how much easier the transition into postgraduate study can be when you have someone to turn to.
Becoming a mentor gave me the opportunity to be that person for someone else. What started as a way of giving back quickly became one of the most rewarding parts of my university experience.
I enjoyed helping students find their feet, sharing things I had learnt along the way, and most importantly, creating a space where they could connect with each other."
Momus
Master of Information Technology, Peer Mentor 2026
"I chose to become a Peer Connect Mentor because I wanted to meet new people, share my own university experiences, and help other students feel more connected to the university community.
I also saw it as a great opportunity to improve my communication and leadership skills while learning from students with different backgrounds and experiences.
The highlight of my experience was meeting and connecting with the students. I really enjoyed our catch-ups, especially seeing everyone become more comfortable, share their experiences, and build new connections with each other."
Come join the fun!
