Overseas study can be an exciting and enriching experience – personally and academically. Attend an information session to learn about Exchange and Overseas study. Tailored for graduate students exploring exchange opportunities, these information sessions will cover popular destinations, information on course matching and professional accreditation concerns, sample course plans from previous attendees, and advice on scholarships to support global mobility for graduate Engineering and IT students.

Career Insights: Expert advice from an industry professional – Engineering and IT

This presentation aims to inspire students and give them confidence regarding their next steps regarding internships.
Hannah Marsden, Operations Manager, Engineering Services at Western Health will discuss her career journey and offer advice to students looking for an internship or graduate role in the engineering and IT industries.
An online presentation via Zoom.
By listening to this presentation participants will:
- Gain insights from an industry expert
- Gain advice in securing an internship or graduate role.
- Hear a personal account of asking the right questions and networking tips
STEM industry mentoring program: mentee preparation webinar
This webinar is a compulsory preparation session for students who have applied to participate in the STEM industry mentoring program.
To be eligible for the STEM industry mentoring program students need to:
- Attend one of the compulsory preparation sessions
Once students have participated in a webinar, their attendance will be automatically recorded and marked as having completed the webinar requirement.
- Submit an application
- Be enrolled in:
- Bachelor of Science (Second or third year)
- Science (Graduate coursework degree or non-health science related graduate Science research degree)
- Master of Information Systems
- Master of Information Technology
- Master of Engineering (all disciplines)
- Master of Industrial Engineering
Sessions will be held online via Zoom.

The STEM industry mentoring program connects University of Melbourne Science, Engineering & IT students with mentors who are alumni and industry professionals from within our community. It’s a career-based mentoring program that aims to build your knowledge and connection to the professional world.
In the mentoring relationship, Students (mentees) lead the mentoring relationship and are expected to be prepared, engaged and open to feedback. Alumni or Industry Professionals (mentors) challenge, motivate, inspire and encourage mentees to achieve their goals.
