Peer Review of Teaching

The TLL Peer Review of Teaching (PRT) program is designed to support the continuous development of teaching practice for all FEIT academic staff.

The primary objectives of this program are:

  • to create a culture of teaching excellence
  • to enhance critical reflective skills of academics
  • to enhance student outcomes
  • to provide evidence of teaching excellence and leadership for academic staff, and
  • to provide professional development opportunities

Participants choose an aspect of their teaching practice that is relevant and valuable to them to explore with a peer of their choosing, be that in-class activities, assessment design, or their LMS, through either a scaffolded, self-guided process, or through a structured program with the guidance of an education expert. Participants complete the program with a clear set of actions and an understanding of how this work can be used to improve learning in their subjects, and contribute towards confirmation, promotion and award applications.
