The Teaching and Learning Laboratory provides support for Faculty of Engineering and IT academics applying for grants and awards relating to teaching practice and research. Note that application deadlines are busy times for us all - it is critical to contact us early!
Learning and Teaching Initiative Grants
LTI Grants (internal Staff Hub link) are centrally-awarded grants to implement innovative teaching practice in subjects. The TLL supports staff with developing LTI applications, and liaises with appropriate university groups and services that proposals should connect with. We also support awarded projects with evaluation guidance, and access to the TLL Seminar Series for dissemination of your project outcomes. Support is primarily offered through the IDEAS group, or email tll-feit@unimelb.edu.au.
The Faculty of Engineering and IT uses a two-stage submission process for LTI grants. See more details on this process on the internal submission information page.
FEIT Education Excellence Awards
The TLL offers guidance to applicants to the Education categories in the FEIT Excellence Awards. Prospective applicants should email tll-feit@unimelb.edu.au.
University, National, & International Grants and Awards
The TLL can offer guidance and support for any related teaching practice or research grant, including Australasian Association for Engineering Education (AAEE) grants, Melbourne Teaching Excellence Awards, Australian Awards for University Teaching, and more - contact tll-feit@unimelb.edu.au.
FEIT Education Travel Support
Funding is available to support travel by FEIT academics who are presenting a peer-reviewed education paper which will enhance education in the Faculty and widen the impact of the Faculty’s significant innovations in engineering and IT education.
