Activity information & objectives:
The Victoria Drought and Innovation Hub’s North West Irrigated Horticulture Node, which is led by the Mallee Regional Innovation Centre, is undertaking a series of focused consultations on drought.
The aim of the consultations and subsequent project co-design process with stakeholders is to identify significant issues and implement actions to enhance drought resilience for the region.
The consultations have demonstrated that drought should be considered a constant feature of farming in north-west Victoria.
People and organisations with knowledge and experience of drought, through working with farmers and the wider community or in their own business or organisation, are invited to participate in the consultations. Please contact us to find out more.

About 30 people have so far been consulted from government (local councils and state government departments and agencies), statutory authorities, advocacy groups, farm service providers and banks.
