The Mallee Regional Innovation Centre
The Mallee Regional Innovation Centre (MRIC) is headquartered in Mildura, Victoria. Mildura is home to 57,216 people, supports 25,016 jobs and has an annual economic output of $8.072 billion. The Victorian Mallee is one of Australia's most productive areas, and is noted for its high value irrigated horticulture with a wide diversity of crops including grapes, nuts and citrus.
With the support of its partners, The University of Melbourne, La Trobe University and SuniTAFE, the Centre is providing a collaborative innovation network, with a connected system of support, where research and development can be actualised for regional transformation.

Operations
The Centre’s footprint encompasses the Mildura Rural City Council and Swan Hill Rural City Council areas. It extends along the Murray River from Swan Hill through Mildura and down to the South Australia border.
