The Malvern NanoSight Pro instrument provides an easy-to-use, reproducible platform for nanoparticle characterisation.
The NanoSight Pro utilises Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) to characterise nanoparticles from 10nm - 2000 nm in solution. This particle-by-particle methodology produces high resolution results for particle size distribution and concentration while visual validation gives users extra confidence in the data. As well as particle size and concentration, protein aggregation and viscosity can all be analysed while a fluorescence mode provides detection of labelled particles.
Particle size: 10 - 2000 nm
Concentration: 106 - 109 particles per mL
Laser: 488 nm (blue)
Temperature control: 5oC below ambient to 50oC
The NanoSight is available through the MCFP's iLab Booking System for trained users. To discuss access and training please contact Darryl Johnson.
Samples need to be diluted into the concentration range of 106 - 109 particles per mL
Imaging Flow Cytometry
The Amnis Imagestream X MkII Imaging Flow Cytometer (ISX) bridges the gap between microscopy and flow cytometry by combining the structural information from microscopy and the high throughput nature of flow cytometry.
Apogee A-50 Microflow Cytometer
The Apogee A-50 Microflow Cytometer is a benchtop flow cytometer with extreme sensitivity and resolution from multiple light scatter and fluorescence detectors.
Nikon A1R+ Confocal Microscope (CLSM)
Capturing high-quality confocal images at ultrahigh-speed and enhanced sensitivity with a resonant scanner and large incubation chamber, the Nikon A1R+ is a powerful tool for the imaging and visualisation of intracellular dynamics and interaction.
