George Franks
Professor
George Franks is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and has over two decades of research experience in the ceramics and minerals processing fields.
George's research interests include mineral processing, particularly flocculation and flotation, suspension rheology, advanced ceramics powder processing, colloid and surface chemistry, alumina surfaces, and particle scale simulations. He is co-Deputy Director of the ARC COE Minerals which focuses on reducing energy and water used in mineral processing as well as increasing valuable mineral recovery and reducing waste.
