Darryl Johnson
Academic Specialist - Cytometry
Darryl leads the Cytometry node of the MCFP with expertise in mass and flow cytometry, and confocal microscopy. He has a background in molecular biology, biochemistry and immunology, and can help you with experimental design, preparation, acquisition, and interpretation.
Darryl has previously worked within the University of Melbourne and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Advanced Molecular Imaging. He is an expert in cell cytometry, confocal microscopy, multiparameter imaging and image analysis. Darryl is active in the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC), and is a 2025 SRL Emerging Leader. Darryl also has a passion for sustainability in the sciences and is the MCFP's Sustainability Champion.
