Developing the next generation of crystallographers at the MCFP

Our X-ray Specialist, Raveen Wijesuriya, has launched a two-day intensive theory and data processing workshops focussed on XRD, provided generously by Bruker application scientist Noel Manaputty.

Attendees from multiple universities and industry partners have joined together to network and enhance their understanding of the fundamentals of crystallography and diffraction, instrument configurations and geometries, and applications of XRD. This theory will be put into practice with a half day hands-on data processing workshop for qualitative analysis using DIFFRAC.EVA, and a full day of refinement and quantitative analysis workshop using DIFFRAC.TOPAS.
