MCFP at the 2024 Collaborate to Innovate Expo during Science Festival

Raveen and the Team engage with young minds during Science Festival

The MCFP Team created an engaging activity at the 2024 Science Festival's Collaborate to Innovate Expo. "Under the Microscope" was the theme of our display, where young minds could come to investigate crystals, plants, and insects at high magnification.

Starting from what they could see with their eyes alone, then to a bench-top optical microscope, and finally to remotely controlling our electron microscope, amateur scientists young and old were able to see the world around them with a new perspective.

The activity was organised by our X-ray specialist Raveen Wijesuriya, who enlisted each of the team members to create this captivating booth for hundreds of visitors during the day!
